SafeWay Certifications, based in Austin, Texas, specializes in online certifications for government agencies. All agencies listed on our site for training have entered into agreements with SafeWay Class an approved provider exclusively with their city, county or state department. We do not offer classes simply \"for informational purposes\".

With experience in the restaurant management industry, we recognized the importance of public safety education in the restaurant/bar industry.

SafeWay Class is licensed to administer the Professional Food Manager Certification exam throughout Texas. The exam we administer is a nationally accredited exam through Thompson Prometric, formerly Experior Assessments.

As we administered these exams throughout the State of Texas, we received much feedback from restaurant managers that showed a need for an online version of the Food Handler Certification. They expressed that it would be easier for them to stay at 100% compliance with Health Department regulations, if there were a more convenient alternative for the certification process. After much research on which cities and counties require this program, we decided to develop the TexasFoodHandler.com course and submit it to Health Departments around the state.

Prior to launching our website, we did some informal polling to ascertain interest on agency levels and found it to be there. The response to our online program has been overwhelmingly positive from Health Departments we have contacted, in Texas, Alabama, and multiple other states.

We currently service 18 cities & counties in Texas, as well as Mobile Co., Alabama, Tulsa County, Oklahoma and the state of Florida. We are negotiations with 4 other states at present.

Above the TexasFoodHandler.com course, the Cities of Fort Worth and Arlington have asked us to develop an online version for their Day Care Certification programs. We are proud to announce that TexasChildCareClass.com is now available if your agency has such requirements. This course, as well as others are also available for continuing education credits to day care providers for required CEU credits, required by TDPRS for annual training.
